Tucked into the cliffs of the Algarve, this women’s wellness retreat offers space to breathe, slow down, and reconnect without burning out. The week is built around balance, blending movement and stillness, rest and gentle adventure, with energising morning yoga or Pilates, calming evening practices such as Yin and yoga nidra, nourishing food, women’s circles, mindset support, a Lithuanian pirtis sauna ritual, optional surf, and time in nature.

In between guided sessions, you are free to choose what you need most, from cliff walks and ocean dips to massage or quiet moments in the sun. Nothing is forced, just enough structure to help you feel lighter, more grounded, and more yourself, leaving calm yet courageous, restored, and clear about what comes next.

Why Sagres for our wellness retreat?

Stay for five days in our cosy guesthouse, just a short walk from the cliffs and beaches of Sagres. Rooms are decorated with handpicked, mostly second hand gems that were refurbished and placed to create a home away from home. The design was inspired by the colours of the Algarvian coast and a consciousness for sustainability. There are shared spaces for quiet reading, journaling, or connection. Outside, you’ll find a tranquil garden and yoga deck beneath a beautiful lemon tree – a calm, grounding backdrop where everything in you can finally soften.  

Sagres, known as the End of the World, is a place where raw cliffs meet the Atlantic and the horizon feels endless. Its powerful, unpolished beauty creates an immediate sense of space – both around you and within you. With its natural balance of stillness and adventure, it’s a setting that supports you effortlessly and makes life feel simpler, lighter, and easier to return to yourself.

Daily movement, yoga & coaching

Each morning starts with either vinyasa yoga or Pilates to awaken your body, build strength at a steady pace, and reconnect you with your breath. Evenings offer softer practices such as yin yoga and yoga nidra, designed to calm your system and help you land back in yourself after a day of exploring in nature.

There will also be a transformative conscious connected breathwork session included, which was a highlight for the April Balance Retreat guests so we’ll be bringing this back for Autumn. All sessions are open to every level – created to help you feel grounded, clear, and at home in your body again.

Mindset coaching is gently woven throughout the retreat to help you pause, reflect, and reconnect with what you want next and you will have an accompanying workbook to help you process your own journey during your time on the retreat.  Nothing is forced, there’s just an open, honest space to hear yourself clearly and feel supported by women walking their own version of the same path. The aim is to help you leave with clarity, confidence, and a sense of direction that feels rooted, steady, and true to you.

Sauna Ritual

A unique and truly memorable three-hour ritual led by our collaborators at FICSS, combining heat, herbal steam, aromatherapy, cold plunges, and traditional leaf whisking to cleanse the body and calm the mind. Expect homemade scrubs, face masks, tea, fruit, and time by the fire to rest between sessions.

Full Body Massage

A deeply relaxing full-body massage by Saskya designed to ease tension, support circulation, and help you drop into restorative rest. Slow, soothing techniques leave your body feeling lighter, looser, and fully cared for.

Recovery Garden

Private hire of the recovery garden at Mandala where you have access to the sauna, ice plunge and sun loungers to share a herbal tea or fruit platter with the other guests or take some time for yourself to journal, read or sunbathe on the deck.

Learn how to surf

Whether you’re a complete beginner or have surfed before, our surf lesson is designed to help you connect with the ocean in a way that feels playful, empowering, and safe. You’ll be guided by experienced instructors in a small group setting, no more than five students per coach, so you get personalised support and plenty of space to learn at your own pace. If the group has different experience levels, we’ll divide accordingly to make sure everyone feels comfortable and supported.

The lesson lasts around two hours and includes everything you need: surfboard, wetsuit, and round-trip transport from the venue to the beach. The aim is to have fun, get into the water, and feel part of the natural rhythm that makes Sagres so special. It’s a chance to laugh, play, challenge yourself gently, and experience the simple joy of being held by the sea.

Nourishing fresh meals

Each day you’ll enjoy a freshly prepared brunch (both sweet and savoury) and a delicious chef-made dinner: colourful, seasonal, and full of flavour. Expect vibrant bowls and comforting dishes that feel both wholesome and indulgent. These meals are as nourishing for the body as the retreat is for the mind. 

Food is served altogether so you can share, taste, chat, and laugh – the kind of meals that bring people together and feel like a highlight of the day. We even take one dinner al fresco on a beautiful secret sunset hike so you can eat delicious food in the middle of nature as you watch the sun go down on another amazing day in Sagres.

Other things to know

There’s plenty of free time built into the retreat so you can find your own rhythm –  rest, wander, move, or simply be. Enjoy cliff walks, ocean dips, extra surf lessons, lunch in the local town, or quiet moments with a book in the sun. Every activity is optional, and nothing is ever pressured.

You’ll also receive a small welcome gift and thoughtful touches throughout the week to help you feel held and cared for. This retreat offers gentle structure and spacious freedom – a balance that lets you unwind fully and return to yourself at your own pace.

Deposit

  • A £295 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place on the retreat.

Balance Payments

  • The remaining balance is due 6 weeks before the retreat start date (July 22nd, 2026).
  • If payment is not received by this date, your place may be offered to someone on the waitlist.

Cancellation Policy (Guest-Initiated)

  • More than 60 days before the retreat: Deposit is non-refundable. Any additional payments made will be refunded.
  • 30–59 days before the retreat: 50% of the total retreat cost will be refunded (excluding the deposit).
  • Less than 30 days before the retreat: No refunds can be offered, as accommodation and services will have already been confirmed.

If you need to cancel and your space can be filled, we will refund any payments made beyond the deposit.    

Retreat Changes or Cancellations (Organiser-Initiated) In the unlikely situation that we need to cancel or postpone the retreat (e.g. due to low numbers, unforeseen circumstances, or force majeure), you will receive a full refund of all payments made, including your deposit. We are not responsible for reimbursement of travel costs or other expenses.    

Health, Safety & Responsibility By booking, you acknowledge that:

  • You participate in movement practices, treatments, and outdoor activities at your own risk.
  • It is your responsibility to disclose any relevant medical conditions or injuries.
  • The retreat organisers are not liable for accidents, illness, travel disruptions, or lost personal property.

The retreat price covers accommodation, daily movement classes, evening practices, the sauna ritual and treatments, full body massage, one surf lesson, breakfast and dinner each day, and all scheduled activities. The following are not included:

  • Lunch (to give you freedom to explore local cafés, take yourself on an adventure, or rest at your own pace)
  • Flights to and from Portugal
  • Transport to and from Faro Airport (airport transfers or car hire)
  • Additional surf lessons beyond the one included session
  • Extra treatments, massages, or therapies not specified in the retreat schedule
  • Travel insurance, medical insurance, or personal liability insurance
  • Personal expenses, shopping, or meals taken outside the retreat

These exclusions ensure you have plenty of flexibility during your free time and the option to personalise your experience.
